How did Schindler save the Jews who were working for him? Why did Schindler want to save lives by putting their names on his list?

During the Holocaust, Jews that were working we’re seen as valuable enough to not be exterminated. Oscar Schindler was in charge of a factory that made many products for the war that Germany was involved in. Schindler’s list was a list of Jews that were employed by Oscar Schindler, and were thus seen as valuable enough not to be sent to one of the many concentration camps. Even with the list, Schindler went broke keeping these Jews alive, simply because he was a good man and grew attached to them. I highly recommend watching it though, it is one of the greatest films ever made, and although it is about such a terrible time, it shows the rays of hope that did exist within all of the evil.

Cochise has the standard details correct; however, Schindler’s wife Amelia Pelzl was really the force that moved him to save the jews. I am fairly closely related to her. She also has a burial place of honor in Israel.
